Welcome to Nana's Bananas, the coolest food truck on the block, where we take frozen bananas and turn them into an unforgettable treat! We’re all about bringing a sweet and creative twist to a classic favorite.
Our specialty? Frozen, perfectly dipped bananas covered with a wild variety of toppings—from rainbow sprinkles and crushed Oreos to spicy crushed red pepper flakes or marshmallow drizzle. The possibilities are endless, and we believe in giving you the freedom to create your own flavor masterpiece or choose from one of our crazy concoctions!
Our goal is simple: to bring joy to every bite and create memories with every dessert.
The idea started with our Nana, who was known for her love of creating treats and her creative flair for mixing sweet and savory flavors. Now, we’re taking that same spirit and bringing it straight to your neighborhood, one frozen banana at a time.
Come find us, and let us make your taste buds tingle with the most flavorful frozen bananas you've ever had!

Nana was Gretchen's grandmother. She was a true Florida Native. Rose Huddleston was born in Bradenton in 1926 and moved to Englewood in 1935 with her family. The Huddleston’s were fisherman in Lemon Bay. Rose graduated from Venice-Nokomis High School at the age of 16. Nana went on to marry Roy Tate, another pioneer family whose family created Tate’s Market on Dearborn Street in Englewood. The Tate family continued to thrive in Englewood with Baker’s Lumber Company. Rose loved to volunteer in the community. She served as a candy striper at Englewood Community Hospital and served as the corresponding secretary for the Lemon Bay Historical Society.
Sadly, we lost Nana in 2020 at the age of 94. A life lived well with so many people she brought joy and stories to over her life. Today, Nana lives on through our food trailer Nana's Bananas. Something she would find to be a fun and silly concept. Our banana Sweet Home Nana is ode to Nana's love of cooking. She loved to make Banana Pudding among many other Southern classic recipes.
